What your phone shares without you noticing

Many apps enable location by default on install. Periodically review the location permissions of your social media and messaging apps, and switch 'always' access to 'while using the app' when possible.

Avoid posting real-time check-ins, stories, or photos that reveal you're away from home, especially if your profile is public or you have many contacts you don't personally know.
